Hi, @Maximum7

They are not postcards, but Jules Verne was very nice at predicting future. I had a link, but it's a little far from topic tags and title

Best wishes!

Keeping in mind PF's rules prohibiting political discussion, many (political) artists such as Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo portrayed imagined future societies. Both painters produced miniatures similar to postcards, with Rivera imagining a Marxist-like "New Man" proletariat and the beauteous Ms. Kahlo deeply interested in postmodern feminism and women's roles forming the New Age.

The now-defunct Soviet Union (USSR) produced much representational art depicting strong productive citizens marching in unison to a glorious future. Their erstwhile political opposites in Europe produced often similar depictions of future societies, usually better dressed than the bleak soviets.

Aside from politics, science fiction helps produce reams of future artistic predictions particularly cover art for pulp fiction (about postcard size), and posters and films depicting possible futures. Modern 21st C. graphic novels and comic books provide contemporary glimpses of possible futures.

I've googled images of utopic places in art, but I prefer not to link anyone: they look so distopic... Only a picture has captured my attention: one that seemed depict city of Atlantis, but also figures to me so irrealistic... Anyhow, it might be an example of a fictional and perfect-looking island...

Best wishes!

Thread 'My experience as a hostage'
I believe it was the summer of 2001 that I made a trip to Peru for my work. I was a private contractor doing automation engineering and programming for various companies, including Frito Lay. Frito had purchased a snack food plant near Lima, Peru, and sent me down to oversee the upgrades to the systems and the startup. Peru was still suffering the ills of a recent civil war and I knew it was dicey, but the money was too good to pass up. It was a long trip to Lima; about 14 hours of airtime...
