Atomic symbol notation question

Click For Summary
In atomic symbol notation, the nucleon number is placed at the top left of the element symbol, while the atomic number is positioned at the bottom left. This format is standardized by IUPAC guidelines, as outlined in the Red Book. The Cambridge curriculum aligns with these IUPAC conventions, ensuring consistency in scientific communication. Understanding this notation is crucial for accurately representing elements in chemistry. Correct notation is essential for clarity in scientific discussions.
