I know for most people online who owns a website load their codes directly onto their local ISPs. What about big e-businesses such as Yahoo!, Google, and MSN? Do they have their own "special web server"?

Big e-businesses have a lot of machines which are configured to balance the load between the computers.

As for operating systems, Google uses Linux, Yahoo uses FreeBSD, and Microsoft uses Windows

The Apache webserver is by far the most popular webserver software on the Internet. Yahoo uses Apache, while Google rolled their own and Microsoft uses IIS.
