The NASA business that Boeing is exploring a sale of includes the troubled Starliner space vehicle and operations that support the International Space Station, but excludes the unit building NASA's Space Launch System, the newspaper reported.

Who would buy it? As far as I can tell, its value is in the negative billions. Perhaps China, for tech transfer, and there is no way the US Government will go along.

Furthermore, does anyone think they will get a fair, honest deal from Boeing? This looks like, on top of everything else, a decade of litigation.

More to the point… is there even a possible buyer that could pick it up without consolidating the industry too much?

One could argue the industry is already consolidated too much,

I do not believe this is sincere. I believe it is an attempt to a) shore up stock prices, b) extract more money from the federal government, or both.

Who would buy it?

Maybe hoping for a marriage with BO? They have some a severe lack of tech, people, organization, effectiveness, luck.
Anything from Boeing would not be much of a help, though...
