Butterfliies and physics?PLEASE READ DESPRATE

okay I am doiing a science project and i chose to do a monach butterfly. I have to relate it to physics,chemistry,ecology,and weather..and I am finding it really hard to relate it to physics and chemistry..it says on my sheet:

PHYSICS PART;;(WHAT I HAVE TO FIND)
-find how the animal controls its motion?(HORIZANTAL,VERTICAL)
-calculate displacement and distance over the season
-track the animals position over various parts or over the whole journey(migration related)
-compare speed and velocities too other animals.
CHEMISTRY PART-what pollutants do the animals face on a regular basis?
-what role do chemicals play in a lifestyle of the animal
-(communication,digestion,reproduction

OR ANYTHING RELATED TOO THE TOPIC IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE ALL THOSE..

The colors on the wings of a butterfly is somehow a diffraction and or interference effect.

Not the monarch. It's not one of the irridescent butterflys.
 
Here's an article originally published in Nature dealing with the flight-generating mechanisms in Vanessa Atalanta.
Perhaps the monarch butterfly uses similar mechanisms?

Just a hint as to how chemistry effects the the life style and survivability of the Monarch. What do the caterpillars eat and why is this important?

As for physics, can you estimate the energy that these little guys need to fly from the far North (in many instances) to So Cal and Mexico?

Those should keep you busy.

uhhm another thiing was WEATHER! okay soo this question i don't understand is "how does the weather necessitate the migration?"

and also "how does the climate affect the animals lifestlye?"

You've got some pretty good hints already. Start Googling on the little critters and you will see how these things fall together. We can't do your homework for you.
