Homework Statement


A stone is dropped from rest. Calculate the distance fallen during the first second. Calculate the distance fallen during the second second and third second, etc.

Homework Equations


d = (Vf^2 - Vo^2) / (2*a)


The Attempt at a Solution


a= 9.8 m/s^2
?
I don't know what to do please help me solve this

This equation may be more helpful.

[tex]x = x_0 + v_0 t + (1/2) a t^2[/tex]
 
so
x= 0+0+1/2(9.8)(1)^2
