SUMMARY

To calculate the volume of a powder without knowing its density, one effective method is to place the powder in a container of known volume. This approach provides a straightforward way to estimate the volume based on the weight of the powder. While the discussion suggests a simple solution, it emphasizes the importance of using a container with a precise volume measurement for accuracy.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic measurement concepts
  • Familiarity with weight and volume relationships
  • Knowledge of container volume measurement
  • Basic principles of density
NEXT STEPS
  • Research methods for measuring the density of various powders
  • Explore techniques for calculating volume from weight
  • Learn about different types of measuring containers and their accuracy
  • Investigate the impact of powder compaction on volume measurements
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for chemists, laboratory technicians, and anyone involved in material science or cooking who needs to estimate powder volumes accurately.

hello

is there a way to find the volume or an amount of powder i have?

I don't know its density
I know its weight

even rough estimation would be sufficient

thanks
