Calculating Variable Acceleration for UAV Recovery

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on calculating the variable acceleration of a UAV during recovery on a patrol boat. Key parameters include initial velocity, final velocity, mass, and known time steps for the recovery process. The calculated acceleration is essential for determining the recovery distance. Participants emphasize the importance of consulting a supervisor for guidance and establishing regular meetings for support.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of kinematic equations for acceleration
  • Familiarity with UAV dynamics and recovery processes
  • Basic knowledge of physics principles related to motion
  • Experience with iterative calculations and time step analysis
NEXT STEPS
  • Research kinematic equations for variable acceleration
  • Explore UAV recovery techniques and dynamics
  • Learn about iterative numerical methods for motion analysis
  • Investigate tools for simulating UAV recovery scenarios
USEFUL FOR

Im trying to calculate the variable acceleration of UAV being recovered on a patrol boat. I have the inital velocity, the final velocity, the mass. In the long run i need this acceleration to calculate the recovery distance. I can iterate a time step for the recovery so time is also known. can anyone help?

Your supervisor should help you get started, talk to them and try to arrange weekly meetings.
