Can oxygen be removed from a liquid using argon gas?

Physics news on Phys.org
I suppose so. The amount of dissolved gas in a liquid is just a function of temperature so if you add enough argon and remove any gas the partial pressure of oxygen will gradually reduce as it is dilluted out. Not sure if this is the cheapest/most effective method.
