Can I Connect My Wii to the Internet Using a Cheap Ethernet Cable?

I was thinking of buying this cable:

to connect my Wii to the internet. I was thinking of buying this wire and directly plugging one end into the Wii, and the other end into the router's USB port.

Will this work? Or will I need to buy a LAN adapter because the Wii does not have the right LAN input?
