AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the use of mnemonic techniques for memorizing math equations, particularly trigonometric functions like sinx, cosx, and tanx. Participants explore various methods, including the Major and PAO techniques, to create effective spatial objects for these functions. There is a suggestion that visual aids, such as drawing right triangles with a hypotenuse of 1, can help in remembering derivatives and integrals of trigonometric functions like arcsin, arctan, and arccos. This method is highlighted as a practical approach for recalling these mathematical concepts during problem-solving.

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has a mnemonics technique down for math equations? Using the Major method or PAO method doesn't really matter. I'm wondering if anyone came up with good spatial objects for sinx, cosx, tanx, etc. Thank you.

For what exactly on the trig equations? A method of remembering how the functions look?

For example the derivative of arctanx or integrals of trig functions: http://integral-table.com/

The derivative of the arcsin, arctan, and arccos are easy to remember if you draw out a right triangle with a hypotenuse of 1 and work it out from there. I still draw it on the margin whenever I need to use them.
