Hey all,

so i just got into using Traktor Pro 2 and a VCI-100 to do live mixes of songs, and i want to host a party. I am going to have an LCD TV displaying an animation behind me and I want it to display my "DJ Name." Only problem is I have no idea what I want my "DJ name" to be, i want it to be physics related (as i am a physics major) and pretty nerdy, but not so nerdy that it's only physics majors would get what the word is and preferably sound or DJ related (but not necessary).

Some ideas i have come up with (some without DJ infront because it sounds better and i don't necessarily want the "DJ" in front anyway because it sounds more original):

  • Spin Glass (both the model and the turntables, haha)
  • Doppler
  • Darkspeed (opposite of lightspeed  haha)
  • DJ Quark

Okay, maybe here's a better one (along the lines of DJ):

[tex]\nabla \cdot J = -\frac{\partial \rho}{\partial t}[/tex]

Continuity equation. (The divergence of the current density is equal to the negative of the charge density's rate of change)

(Edit: too nerdy?)

M.C. Square?

(Edit: I guess I was assuming you might be using a microphone at some point too.)

MC squared

or C squared M

or <ψ|ψ*>

or c . run

electron spin, or particle spin?

You will be spinning, after all... Just sayin'

Cyclotron? =)

Names are hard to choose. There's an album by an artist (I love to death) called:

Mountains In The Sky - Electron Suite (Discogs album link)

he names his tracks all physics-y too. It's a great album on a kind of groovy electronic psychout tip if you're curious, the guy is amazing!

Good luck with the party, I spin a bit myself and it's goooood fun! :)

DJ Schrödinger (and the animation has a box with a question-mark)

EDIT: if you have red hair: DJ Beaker

I vote this one, maybe with the 'd' added in like Astro suggests.

All great suggestions, I think I am leaning towards Boseman or Spinor. Or following the spinor track, just be named Dirac Spinor as a pseudonym. But any and all suggestions are still greatly appreciated! The party won't be for a couple weeks.

DJ DT_force or similar,

You know, since Impulse J...[tex]J=\int F dt[/tex]
thus
[tex]\frac{dJ}{dt}=F[/tex]

(plus some constant, but that's not very DJ sounding)

I'm in favor of MC Squared, too.
