City viewing with dobsonian telescope?

My father will be lending me his dobsonian telescope, but I live in the city. Is there much to see through all this light pollution?

The Moon and multiple planets. Jupiter is still impressive at this time of year. You might be able to see a few of the very bright deep sky objects, but they will be very underwhelming.
