How did you find PF?
Google Search
Hi, I'm a Machinist from Canada. I enjoy challenging myself by learning and creating custom macro programs for different manufacturing processes on my CNC machine. I'm hoping to get some insight on some areas that I'm struggling with.

Yes, I'm on the Practical Machinist Forums. They're great for hearing about other peoples experiences with certain situations and processes. Machining has so many different areas of expertise and every one like to do things in their own little way, sometimes it can be difficult to get the right information or answers you are looking for.

There's a lot of good YouTube Machining channels too. Two of my favorite at the moment are Inheritance Machining and Not an Engineer (I think he actually is an Engineer)

Welcome, @MillGuy !

I love metal machining as well.
My problem is I know nothing about CNC machines.
All I have worked with are manual operated machines (pre-CNC), mainly for creating parts and tools for my motorcycles.
Best!

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
