SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on the dimensional analysis of the Froude Number, specifically clarifying that D represents hydraulic depth rather than density. Participants confirm that hydraulic depth has distinct units, emphasizing the importance of accurate unit representation in calculations. Additionally, the presence of a square root in the equation is questioned, indicating a need for further examination of the formula's structure.

D is hydraulic depth, not density. I think it has different units?

Also, isn't there a square root in this equation?
