Histograms can be created in Microsoft Excel using the "Insert" menu, specifically through "Columns" and the matrix function {=frequency()}. Some users find the options under "other charts" insufficient for their needs. There is a belief that histograms are not natively available in Excel without additional add-ins. Overall, while Excel has the capability to create histograms, users may need to explore specific functions and tools to achieve their desired results.

Is it possible to draw histograms in Microsoft Excel? I see all charts of icons in the Excel tool bar but no histogram.
You can use Insert -> Columns for histograms. Together with the matrix function {=frequency()} (with contr, alt, enter) you can work out some decent statistics.

"other charts" or "columns' is of no help. But I read on the net, histogram is not available with Excel as it is, you have to install some add-in.
Thanks for trying to help.
As you can see from the image here, when I graph the 2d graph of y = 5sin(1/x), it comes out like I'd expect. However, when I graph it in a 3d graph, it doesn't look right at all. Can someone tell me why it isn't displaying right, or is it and I'm just missing something when I add the z axis?
