Einstein's time formula

TL;DR
Einstein's time formula & the √-1
In his formula if V were 2C than that fraction reduces to 2 and the result is a √-1 in the denominator. How is that to be interpreted in a time formula?🤔

You can't travel faster than ##c##. So your question is "how should I interpret some maths I've applied in a regime where the same maths says I can't reach".

Einstein came up with a lot of formulas. Do you mean the time dilation formula: $$\gamma = \frac{1}{\sqrt{1-v^2/c^2}}$$

If so, for ##v=2c## the denominator is ##\sqrt{-3}## not ##\sqrt{-1}##. So it is unclear if you made a mistake in the calculation of the above formula or if you were referring to another formula.

That’s how the math tells you that you’re misapplying it. The formula is only valid for ##v\lt c##.
