An electromotive force (emf) can be induced in a coil of wire only when there is a change in the magnetic flux through the coil. Not all magnetic fields induce emf; it specifically requires a change. Inducing emf without a change in flux contradicts Faraday's law, which is a fundamental principle of electromagnetism. Faraday's law is part of Maxwell's equations and is crucial for understanding electromagnetic induction. The integral formulation of this law provides the necessary framework for these concepts.

an emf can be induced in a coil if the magnetic flux through the coil is changed my question is
does all magnetic field induces an emf in a loop of wire?

Hello Omar, ##\qquad## :welcome: ##\qquad## !

No, only change induces emf

another question Can we induce e.m.f. without any change in flux? Is it against Faraday's law?

I do not have a good working knowledge of physics yet. I tried to piece this together but after researching this, I couldn’t figure out the correct laws of physics to combine to develop a formula to answer this question. Ex. 1 - A moving object impacts a static object at a constant velocity. Ex. 2 - A moving object impacts a static object at the same velocity but is accelerating at the moment of impact. Assuming the mass of the objects is the same and the velocity at the moment of impact...
