SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on Causal Dynamical Triangulation (CDT) as a framework for quantum gravity theory. Key contributors to the field include Renate Loll and J. Ambjorn, who have authored significant papers available on arXiv. Notable recent publications include "Renormalization Group Flow in CDT" (arXiv:1405.4585) and "Quantum Gravity via Causal Dynamical Triangulations" (arXiv:1302.2173). The advantages of CDT over other theories like String Theory and Loop Quantum Gravity were also highlighted, emphasizing its unique approach to quantum gravity.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Causal Dynamical Triangulation (CDT)
  • Familiarity with quantum gravity theories
  • Knowledge of arXiv for accessing scientific papers
  • Basic mathematical background for interpreting theoretical physics papers
NEXT STEPS
  • Research recent papers by Renate Loll on arXiv for the latest developments in CDT
  • Study "Quantum Gravity via Causal Dynamical Triangulations" (arXiv:1302.2173) for foundational concepts
  • Explore comparative analyses between CDT, String Theory, and Loop Quantum Gravity
  • Read introductory review articles on Causal Dynamical Triangulation for a comprehensive understanding
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for theoretical physicists, researchers in quantum gravity, and students seeking to deepen their understanding of Causal Dynamical Triangulation and its implications in modern physics.

Greetings,
I have some questions concerning CDT:
1.Where can I find the newest updates on CDT (causal dynamical triangulation) and newest breakthroughs or aproaches to a theory of quantum gravity(as rare as they may be)?
2. What is a recommendable introduction to CDT (that is mathematical)?
3.What advantages does CDT have? I mean in comparison to say String theory or loop quantum gravity and all the other major theories.

thanks for any help!

To reply to your first question, about "newest updates", Renate Loll is a co-author of major CDT papers, as a rule. So one way to find recent papers i..e. "newest updates" is to search for that author:
arXiv:1405.4585 [pdf, other]
Renormalization Group Flow in CDT
J. Ambjorn, A. Goerlich, J. Jurkiewicz, A. Kreienbuehl, R. Loll
Comments: Typos corrected, 21 pages

arXiv:1307.5469 [pdf, other]
De Sitter Universe from Causal Dynamical Triangulations without Preferred Foliation
S. Jordan, R. Loll

arXiv:1305.6680 [pdf, ps, other]
CDT and the Search for a Theory of Quantum Gravity
J. Ambjorn, A. Goerlich, J. Jurkiewicz, R. Loll
Comments: 23 pages, 5 figures. Based on plenary talk at MG13. To appear in the proceeding

arXiv:1305.4582 [pdf, ps, other]
Causal Dynamical Triangulations without Preferred Foliation
S. Jordan, R. Loll

arXiv:1302.2173 [pdf, ps, other]
Quantum Gravity via Causal Dynamical Triangulations
J. Ambjorn, A. Goerlich, J. Jurkiewicz, R. Loll
Comments: To appear in "Handbook of Spacetime", Springer Verlag. 31 pages

These are a few recent papers I found just by searching at ARXIV.ORG with the author's name:
http://arxiv.org/find/grp_physics/1/au: Loll/0/1/0/all/0/1

If you click on anyone of the above "arXiv" links you will get the page with the abstract summary of the paper and on that page will be a link to the PDF file. All these papers are free online, so you can browse and find one that fits your needs. You may want an introductory review article to learn from AND a sample of recent papers with the latest results. You should be able to find both sorts.
