Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around finding the Ipc (peak current) from a voltammogram obtained through cyclic voltammetry. Participants are exploring methods to accurately determine Ipc and the maximum point of the peak in the graph of potential versus current.

Discussion Character

  • Homework-related, Technical explanation

Main Points Raised

  • One participant expresses uncertainty about how to accurately find Ipc from a voltammogram and questions whether estimation is necessary.
  • Another participant inquires if the question is related to a previous inquiry about graphing in Excel.
  • A participant clarifies that they are specifically interested in finding both Ipc and the maximum point of the peak in any voltammogram.
  • There is a suggestion that the method involves using Excel for data analysis.
  • Participants confirm that the data is arranged in columns, which may be relevant for analysis.
  • One participant decides to disregard their question, indicating it overlaps with earlier discussions.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

The discussion does not reach a consensus on the methods for finding Ipc, and participants express varying levels of understanding and focus on related topics.

Contextual Notes

Participants have not detailed specific methods or formulas for calculating Ipc, and there may be assumptions regarding familiarity with Excel and voltammetry that are not explicitly stated.

I have a voltammegram (graph of potential vs current) and I want to find the Ipc of it. I'm not really sure how..is there a way to find it accurately or do i just have to estimate?

Is this related to your Excel graph question?

yes... but the other question is finding the maximum point of the peak, this is about finding the Ipc...
I just want to know how you would find Ipc and the maximum point of any voltammegram

thanks!

that is using excel...

Its the same question. Is the data arranged in a column??

yes.. it is in columns too..

ignore this question, basically asking the same thing as the other one
