Finding the Right Optics Book: Faraday Rotator

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on locating a comprehensive optics book that covers the Faraday rotator. The only referenced textbook is Melvin Schwartz's "Principles of Electrodynamics," which includes some information on the Faraday effect. Participants note that most available references are articles rather than dedicated books. A search query for "Faraday rotation theory" was suggested for further exploration.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic optics principles
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic theory
  • Knowledge of the Faraday effect
  • Ability to conduct academic research
NEXT STEPS
  • Search for additional optics textbooks that cover the Faraday effect
  • Explore scholarly articles on Faraday rotators
  • Investigate online resources and databases for optics literature
  • Review advanced topics in electromagnetic theory related to Faraday rotation
USEFUL FOR

Students of optics, researchers in electromagnetic theory, and educators seeking comprehensive resources on the Faraday effect and rotators.

Which book (on optics) can I find talking about Faraday rotator?

The only textbook I have which covers the Faraday effect at all is Melvin Schwartz's Principles of Electrodynamics. Most references I can find on the Faraday effect and Faraday rotators are articles, not books.
