Cutting and pasting text from Open Office into PF on Windows 7 results in unwanted extra spaces and doubled line feeds. Users report the insertion of blank characters at the beginning of the pasted text and after full stops. This formatting issue appears only in the reply window, not in the final post or when copied as plain text. Activating the "Toggle BB code" option seems to eliminate the extra spaces. The discussion highlights ongoing frustrations with formatting inconsistencies in text pasting.

When I cut and paste text to PF from Open Office (on Win 7) I get extra spaces introduced. Line feeds appear to be doubled. For some weeks now, PF has shown a block of about a dozen blank characters at the head of the insert. In the last couple of days there are 3 blank characters being inserted after full stops, and in many other places in the text. What has changed? There were no blank lines in this which shows the unedited result.

It seems. The effect is only visible in the reply window, but not in the final post, or a text copy from the spaced reply window.

When I did it, i noticed that clicking the gear for "Toggle BB code" removes it.
