Many folk like to use the phrase "talking truth to power", but those of us who do have colorful work histories. My life has been in technical fields, both in the Air Force and industry. Now retired, I earned a Master of Science in Energy and the Environment, was a Senior Engineer for a large power company, having done engineering in plastics, integrated circuits, primary metals, and research.

Welcome to Physics Forums. I'm going to love hearing your experiences and problem solving solutions. ;)

Thanks.

Did I say I had solutions? And you should know better than to ask an old guy about his "experiences", unless you have a few days to waste.

Well, I'm old and a few days doesn't seem too long. And since you say you're old; fairly sure you solved a few. :D

What do I do now?

I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
