Must admit I'm here just to beg some advice on optics, but I hope it won't be seen as too much of a liberty!

Welcome to PF. Just be sure to post links to the reading you've been doing when you ask questions here. That shows us you've been putting in the effort to try to answer your questions, and shows us the level of the reading you've been doing which helps us tune our responses.

Enjoy PF!

You will certainly find a couple of parts of the "Modern Physics" course from the typical Physics series courses for the science & engineering school part of your educational program to be concentrating on Optics. Opportunity for more of that depending on you major field and course program interests.

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
