Help need for piezoelectric analysis using ansys

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around challenges faced in performing piezoelectric analysis using ANSYS, specifically related to the application of voltage and stimulation in the context of a project on active vibration control with piezoelectric patches. The scope includes technical guidance and troubleshooting within the software.

Discussion Character

  • Technical explanation, Debate/contested, Homework-related

Main Points Raised

  • One participant expresses difficulty in conducting piezoelectric analysis in ANSYS and seeks urgent guidance.
  • Another participant suggests checking the manual, noting that examples exist, although they have not personally run such analyses.
  • A participant claims there is a dedicated chapter on piezoelectric analyses in the manual and inquires about the version of ANSYS being used.
  • The original poster mentions using ANSYS 10 and requests a link to the piezoelectric analysis manual if available online.
  • Another participant advises that manuals should be available if the software was installed correctly and suggests logging into the ANSYS portal for downloads.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus on the availability of the necessary manuals or the specific guidance needed for the analysis, indicating multiple viewpoints and unresolved issues regarding the resources available for piezoelectric analysis in ANSYS.

Contextual Notes

There are limitations regarding the specific version of ANSYS being used and the potential unavailability of certain manuals online, which may affect the ability to resolve the original poster's issues.

Hi,i'm working on project called active vibration control using piezoelectric patches through ANSYS.
But I'm finding difficulties in piezoelectric analysis(application of voltage and stimulation part).
Hoping someone would have solved it ,please guide me its very urgent.
thanking you

Have you checked the manual? I haven't personally ran any of these analyses, but I know for sure that examples do exist in the manual.

Sir,i have gone through the manuals but its not there? I'm finding difficult to solve it ,can u guide me if ur confident about this analysis

I know for a fact that there is an entire chapter about piezoelectric analyses. What version are you using?

Sir, I'm using ANSYS 10 for the analysis.if u find the piezoelectric analysis manual online can u please send me the link.So that i will be benefited,
thank u.

You should have the manuals if the program was installed properly. I doubt you'll find the files online anywhere. Log into the ANSYS portal using your customer/user ID to download any files that you need for ANSYS.
