I Help Needed for Lens Selection for Fiber optics

Click For Summary
For collimating light from a fiber optic cable with a 30-degree half acceptance angle for fluorescence applications, selecting the appropriate lens is crucial. Both plano-convex and double-convex lenses can be effective, but aspheric lenses may provide better performance by reducing spherical aberrations. Users are encouraged to research lens options online for more insights. Gaining a foundational understanding of lens characteristics will facilitate more informed discussions and assistance. Proper lens selection will enhance the efficiency of the optical setup.

I am using a fiber optic cable through which led light propogate, fiber's half acceptance agle is 30 degree. I want to make the light (diverging)comes out of fiber into collimated beam and this collimated beam will pass through filters, sample and will be used for Fluoroscence application. hope you got the instrumentation set up. Which type of lens would best work for this application. Either Plano convex or Double convex , aspheric ! Please help me to find the best solution.
Thanks in advance

Google can be your friend here. Try googling "lenses for fibre optic coupling". I got many interesting hits. Come back to PF with a bit of knowledge gained and you will get much more useful help from us.

Quick question that I haven't been able to find the answer to. Greenhouse gasses both warm and cool the atmosphere by slowing heat loss to space. But what would happen without GHGs? I read that the earth would be colder (though still relatively warm), but why? Without GHGs the atmosphere would still be a similar mass and still warmed by conduction from the surface, yet without a means to radiate that heat to space. Why wouldn't the atmosphere accumulate heat over time, becoming warmer? How...
