Higher magnification calibration slide

Calibration slides are used in microscope work to measure.

It shows 1 mm with 100 dividing lines; 0.01mm or 10 micrometers.
This works great for magnifications up to, say 250x
Beyond this the lines start to look quite chunky.

I need a calibration slide with finer lines, to use for higher magnifications.
Any recommendations? (TIA)

I thought the graticule was placed in the eyepiece so is not subject to the full magnification?

There are both types. The eyepiece version is normally called a reticle.
He's referring to a calibration slide on the stage (stage micrometer). Something like this, but better.

I wonder if you could use a diffraction grating instead of a calibration slide? The spacing will be well known and much smaller. Less than 1um should be available.

Maybe a CD you don't like anymore, if you're cheap. They have 1.6 um tracks according to Wikipedia.
