SUMMARY

Belle aimed to achieve A grades in Physics and Maths for her AS levels but ultimately received AABC, with As in Chemistry and Biology, a B in Physics, and a C in Maths. She excelled in Physics exams PH1 and PH2 but struggled with the practical component, leading to a lower overall grade. Belle expressed frustration with her Maths teacher, attributing her performance to inadequate instruction, and noted that her aspirations for a Physics degree may be impacted by her grades.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of AS level grading systems
  • Familiarity with Physics practical assessments
  • Knowledge of effective study techniques for Maths and Physics
  • Awareness of the impact of teaching quality on student performance
NEXT STEPS
  • Research effective study strategies for Physics practical exams
  • Explore resources for improving Maths skills, particularly in areas of difficulty
  • Investigate the role of teaching quality in student outcomes
  • Learn about alternative pathways for pursuing a Physics degree
USEFUL FOR

Students preparing for AS level exams, educators seeking to improve teaching methods, and anyone interested in understanding the challenges of achieving high academic performance in STEM subjects.

Let's hope you weren't one of those kids who's going to find out next week that they've been disqualified for having a mobile phone in the exam hall!

sorry guys i didnt do as well as i thought i would. i got AABC, As for chemistry and Biology as you can guess. and a B for physics ( i got A for PH1 and PH2 but i got a C for the practical so overall grade went down). and i got a C for maths, i blame my maths teacher he's the worst teacher around our whole class complained about him but they wouldn't do anything about it. i guess i can't do physics degree anymore, my parents would go nuts if i drop biology or chemistry which i got an A in. but i love physics its crazy, I am backwards.

A particular maths lecturer at my college, never wishes us good luck; instead wishes us good hard work. Which makes sense in maths and physics. So good luck for doing good hard work :)
