The discussion revolves around the surprising wealth displayed in the yacht industry, particularly through a dedicated yacht forum that highlights both extravagant superyachts and smaller vessels owned by affluent individuals. Participants express astonishment at the sheer number of luxurious yachts and the wealth of their owners, with some noting that many yachts featured are owned by the upper middle class rather than just the super-rich. The conversation shifts to nostalgic reflections on boating experiences, childhood memories related to yachts, and the evolution of boat design, including discussions about specific boat manufacturers and historical models. There are also light-hearted exchanges about personal dreams and projects related to boat building and sailing adventures. Overall, the thread captures a blend of admiration for luxury yachts, personal anecdotes, and technical discussions about boat design and construction.

That hull shape was immensely popular. They run fine but roll a lot at anchor.

1850 NE 144th st - yes that was out of my territory.
Anything N of 95th street was "Up North"; Ft Lauderdale was "Way up north"
