A new addition arrived late yesterday afternoon. After about 13 hrs of labor Ian decided to show up. 7 pounds 12 oz. He's healthy and mommy is doing great. I'm bushed. Time for some sleep.

Aw, Fred, wait till he knows what he wants before getting greasy finger nails. Congrats old boy, you is a Daddy:biggrin:

Congratulations! Wahooo!

And welcome to the world, Fred, Jr!

Best wishes to Mom and Son, and tired Dad, too.

All the best and congrats to your wife. And to you a year or so of poopy diapers.

Congratulations!

13 hours of labor? Give that wife of yours a medal! Just hearing about it makes me want to have an epidural!

Zz.

Thanks everyone. I'm a bit, as Brews and Wolram would say, gobsmacked at the moment.

Ian has quite a few things waiting for him, like his hockey skates, his sparring gloves, his first calculator...His Uncle wants to get him his first '55 Thunderbird, but his Aunt is putting the kibosh on that.

Z...he kind of has ears on his hat right now, but they're not the official issue.

Sounds like Ian Smith.  So in 25 years or so, he'll be a PF mentor.

Thanks again everybody! This is the first little one for myself and the wife, so we're pretty psyched.

Congratulations Daddie-o.

Take him to all the air shows, gun shows, car show. Make sure he has a train set, plays with airplanes, plays with airplanes, plays on a baseball team, plays basketball, play with airplanes, collects card and comic books, and last but not least plays with airplanes.

Congratulations Fred! May he soon sleep through the night.

Congratulations Fred. Your son looks just like you, minus the stripes perhaps .

Congrats on the promotion! He is just perfect, I wish you all the best!

That's awesome!

Congratulations Fred!

May happy family moments come. :)

Congratulations! Just think of all the cool forts you can build with him all over the house. Those were the greatest when I was a kid. I bet you could design very safe, awesome forts.

Congratulations! Guy looks so composed - definitely a future engineer/physicist.

What to say...

No matter what happens in the near future, when Ian is about 3 months old and starts to smile, it will be worth all of the lack of sleep that you are about to endure. Hearty congratulations.
