It untimely depends on what uour goal is: In depth understanding, or just being able to program to solve problems.

Then again, with the discussion having come to an organic conclusion, it also depends upon if you’re interested in the subject. If you just want to solve problems without any real interest i fear you’ll expend your energy too soon and regret your choice.
