Every time my IDM (internet download manager) starts, I see only 8 threads running. How can I run 32 threads at the same time ?
Thanks IDM super users and developers.
The discussion centers on increasing the number of simultaneous download threads in Internet Download Manager (IDM) from the default of 8 to 32. Users are cautioned against exceeding 8 threads, as some servers may perceive higher thread counts as abusive, potentially leading to rejected requests. The IDM team explicitly advises against altering the thread count. For those who wish to explore changing this setting, a link to the IDM FAQ is provided for further guidance.
PREREQUISITESThis discussion is beneficial for users of Internet Download Manager, particularly those looking to optimize their download speeds and manage thread settings effectively.
I suggest that you don't change it to no more than 8 threads. Because some servers might find more threads other than 8 will be offensive and they might reject server requests. Whereas the IDM team suggests that users should not change the thread count. Or if you still wish to change go to http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/register/new_faq/functions8.html page.Pepper Mint said:Every time my IDM (internet download manager) starts, I see only 8 threads running.
