Is the gravitation source of energy? And yes then can we use this

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around whether gravitation can be considered a source of energy and the implications of this for practical applications, such as energy generation devices. The scope includes theoretical considerations and practical applications.

Discussion Character

  • Debate/contested, Conceptual clarification, Experimental/applied

Main Points Raised

  • One participant questions if gravitation is a source of energy and whether it can be harnessed with devices.
  • Another participant argues that water wheels and hydroelectric power utilize gravitational energy, suggesting it can be a source of energy.
  • A different viewpoint asserts that gravitation is not a source of energy but rather a means of storing energy, emphasizing that the initial energy comes from the Sun through the water cycle.
  • One participant speculates that if gravitation could be used directly, it might allow for energy extraction from the entire universe due to the omnipresence of gravity.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on whether gravitation is a source of energy or merely a storage mechanism. No consensus is reached, and multiple competing perspectives remain present.

Contextual Notes

Some claims depend on definitions of energy and sources, and the discussion does not resolve the complexities of energy transformation and storage in gravitational contexts.

Yes, water wheels rely on gravitation for their source of energy. Also hydroelectric power from dams.

No - it's not a Source of Energy. It's only a way of Storing Energy. The energy to drive a water wheel has to come from the Sun driving the water cycle, raising water from sea level to a lake / river / dam. That's the gravitational energy that you can use and it's 'second hand', not a source, exactly.

i think that if we can use it directly then we can ride whole universe
bcs in whole universe everywhere r gravition
