Is the gravitation source of energy? And yes then can we use this

AI Thread Summary
Gravitation is not a source of energy but rather a means of storing energy, as exemplified by water wheels and hydroelectric power, which rely on gravitational potential energy. The energy utilized in these systems originates from the Sun, which drives the water cycle and elevates water to higher altitudes. Therefore, while gravitational energy can be harnessed, it is derived from other energy sources rather than being a primary source itself. The idea of directly using gravitational energy on a universal scale suggests potential but remains theoretical. Understanding these distinctions is crucial for energy discussions and technological advancements.

Yes, water wheels rely on gravitation for their source of energy. Also hydroelectric power from dams.

No - it's not a Source of Energy. It's only a way of Storing Energy. The energy to drive a water wheel has to come from the Sun driving the water cycle, raising water from sea level to a lake / river / dam. That's the gravitational energy that you can use and it's 'second hand', not a source, exactly.

i think that if we can use it directly then we can ride whole universe
bcs in whole universe everywhere r gravition

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
