I'm just wondering, have physicists come up with an accepted theory for quantum gravity?

well how close are we to obtaining a quantum theory of gravity?

We might know in the next 2 years, or we may never know if we do not figure it out before going extinct. However with recent improvements in communication around the world we may telescope to an answer quickly.
