Δd= Vi Δt + 1/2 aav Δt^2

I need to isolate Δt

The Δd is displacement not distance

I think aav would just be 'a' right?

Well what you have on the right side is a quadratic equation, so try to complete the square.
 
(or use the standard -b ±√etc quadratic equation formula … same result :wink:)
