Likelyhood of getting a fellowship as an undergrad?

  1. Dec 19, 2012 #1
I'm in the process of completing a DOE fellowship application, and more and more the questions and sections seem like it's really meant for current graduate students (but it does say undergraduate seniors are elligable). I've applied to grads schools but won't hear anything back until well after the fellowship application is passed.

I'm wondering if I should just wait until grad school to apply. Anyone have some sense of this?

A lot of people apply for fellowships in their senior year and start them first year of grad school. That's what I did.
