Chemistry Looking for Good Books on Photosynthesis

AI Thread Summary
For those interested in learning about photosynthesis from a physics perspective, several resources are recommended. A solid starting point is a plant physiology or molecular biology textbook, which can provide a foundational overview. Specific links shared include a resource from the National Center for Biotechnology Information that discusses photosynthesis in detail, and articles exploring the role of quantum mechanics in the efficiency of photosynthesis. These materials can bridge the gap between physics and biological processes, catering to individuals with a strong background in physics but limited exposure to chemistry.

Hello,
I am interested in learning more about photosynthesis. My background is in physics, mostly condensed matter and atomic physics (graduate level). I have not taken a chemistry course since high school but I am looking for a book that starts from a physics point of view anyway. What are some good books on this topic?

Thank you.

By looking around, it seems like Dr. Hassani's books are great for studying "mathematical methods for the physicist/engineer." One is for the beginner physicist [Mathematical Methods: For Students of Physics and Related Fields] and the other is [Mathematical Physics: A Modern Introduction to Its Foundations] for the advanced undergraduate / grad student. I'm a sophomore undergrad and I have taken up the standard calculus sequence (~3sems) and ODEs. I want to self study ahead in mathematics...
