SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on the purification of industrial magnesium chloride to obtain food-grade magnesium chloride. It emphasizes that the correct terminology is "purification" rather than "extraction." The feasibility of this process is contingent on the type of contaminants present, which can make it impractical and costly.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of magnesium chloride chemistry
  • Knowledge of purification techniques
  • Familiarity with industrial contaminants
  • Basic principles of food safety standards
NEXT STEPS
  • Research purification methods for magnesium compounds
  • Explore industrial contaminants and their effects on food-grade materials
  • Learn about food safety regulations regarding chemical additives
  • Investigate cost-benefit analysis of purification processes
USEFUL FOR

Chemists, food safety professionals, industrial manufacturers, and anyone involved in the purification of chemical compounds for food applications.

Is there any method to extract food grade magnesium chloride from industrial magnesium chloride?

It is called purification, not extraction. Depending on type of contaminants it can be impractical (too expensive).

Ok, I got it. This is one of our extracurricular questions, anyway, thank you!
