is it posible to make a magnet rotate around a center point, with the use of other magnets?
The discussion revolves around the feasibility of making a magnet rotate around a center point using other magnets. Participants explore concepts related to magnetic forces, orbits, and the potential for magnetic levitation and motion.
Participants express differing views on the possibility of creating a magnetic orbit, with some suggesting theoretical methods while others highlight limitations. There is no consensus on the feasibility of making a magnet rotate around another magnet or achieving self-sustaining motion with magnets.
Participants note the complexities involved in magnetic interactions, such as the need for additional forces to create orbits and the instability of magnetic systems compared to gravitational ones. There are also references to the limitations of magnets as energy sources.

You should know that you won't be able to get magnets to do "work". You can impart energy to the system (just like you could start a pail of water on a string swinging around your head) but it won't do it on its own. Magnets are not a source of energy.zelldot said:how could i make and object float and spin by them selves, using magnets, or even just float.
