Martians observe Mercury solar transit

In summary, a solar transit is when a planet or other celestial object passes in front of the sun, causing a small shadow to appear on its surface. It is significant that Martians are observing the transit as it suggests the possibility of intelligent life on Mars. They are able to observe it using advanced telescopes and technology, providing valuable information about Mercury's atmosphere and composition. Solar transits occur relatively frequently, with the next Mercury transit visible from Earth not occurring until 2032.

The Martians were able to see the planet Mercury transit the solar disk on Jun 3rd if they used Curiosity's telephoto Mast Cam. Can also see the sunspots.

: I find this information about Martians observing Mercury's solar transit to be quite fascinating. It shows that they have advanced technology, such as Curiosity's telephoto Mast Cam, which allows them to observe celestial events in detail. Additionally, their ability to also see sunspots during this transit further demonstrates their advanced understanding of our solar system. I would be interested to learn more about their observations and any potential insights they may have gained from this event. The link provided by JPL is a valuable resource for further information on this topic. Overall, this discovery adds to our understanding of the universe and the potential for other intelligent beings to exist beyond our own planet.
