Key studies include investigations into brain organization linked to superior mathematical abilities in children with autism and the autism-spectrum quotient (AQ) as it relates to individuals with Asperger syndrome and high-functioning autism. The conversation also mentions a BBC show featuring math prodigies, particularly one student who excelled in mathematics and learned Mandarin Chinese rapidly, with his story depicted in the film "X+Y" and the documentary "A Beautiful Young Mind." Those are interesting studie. The BBC did a show on math prodigies who get into the International Math Olympiad. In particular, one student who while studying learned Mandarin Chinese in 3 months and got married to a Chinese national at a very young age.

His life was also profiled in a movie called X+Y in the Britain and A Beautiful Young Mind here in the US. The documentary is available on Vimeo and the movie is on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
