AI Thread Summary
Two fatal errors are being encountered in an MCNP deck: one related to mixing atom and weight fractions in a material card, and the other indicating an odd number of entries in the source energy distribution and probabilities. The user asserts that their material definitions do not mix fractions and that they have triple-checked the entries without finding discrepancies. Suggestions include checking for unusual characters, such as tabs, that the program might not recognize. The user has provided a screenshot of the errors for further assistance. Clarifying these issues is essential for resolving the errors effectively.

TL;DR Summary
I'm looking for some help resolving two data card fatal errors in MCNP
I'm trying to resolve two separate fatal errors in my MCNP deck. One is claiming that I'm mixing atom and weight fractions within a single material card, which I'm clearly not if you take a peek at the material definitions. The other is saying that I have an odd number of entries, indicating there is a discrepancy between the source energy distribution and source probabilities. I triple counted and this is also not the case. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached a screenshot of the errors.

Check for weird chars the program does not understand like tabs.

Hello, I'm currently trying to compare theoretical results with an MCNP simulation. I'm using two discrete sets of data, intensity (probability) and linear attenuation coefficient, both functions of energy, to produce an attenuated energy spectrum after x-rays have passed through a thin layer of lead. I've been running through the calculations and I'm getting a higher average attenuated energy (~74 keV) than initial average energy (~33 keV). My guess is I'm doing something wrong somewhere...
