SUMMARY

This discussion focuses on modeling physics scenarios using Dyalog APL, specifically targeting forced and damped oscillators and mechanosensitive ion channels. The user has referenced the book "Mastering Dyalog APL" but seeks additional resources for practical implementations. They also express interest in computational models across various programming languages and inquire about Dyalog APL's capability to interface with Java libraries, such as Open Source Physics, which includes charting and ODE solvers.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Dyalog APL programming language
  • Knowledge of forced and damped oscillators in physics
  • Familiarity with mechanosensitive ion channels
  • Basic concepts of computational modeling and ODE solvers
NEXT STEPS
  • Research Dyalog APL's interoperability with Java libraries
  • Explore Open Source Physics for modeling techniques
  • Investigate existing models of forced and damped oscillators in various programming languages
  • Study computational models of ion channels and their applications in physics
USEFUL FOR

Physicists, computational modelers, and developers interested in using Dyalog APL for simulating physical systems, particularly those focusing on oscillatory motion and ion channel dynamics.

Dyalog APL anyone? Anyone? Anyone? I've been trying to find resources on modelling specific physics situations with Dyalog APL and have had no luck. I have Mastering Dyalog APL which is the guide from their website but I want some more information. I'm looking to model specifically forced and damped oscillators. As in someone periodically blowing a pin wheel.

Also, I am interested in any computational models dealing with mechanosensitive ion channels or ion channels in general. I have a few physics models on paper but I am looking for more information. Any models in any language will help.

Thanks.

If you don't care about the Lang there's open source physics a java library of charting and ode solvers. Can dyalog apl access java?
