The discussion highlights a positive reception of a show hosted by a charismatic figure known for making complex topics like physics and the universe accessible and entertaining. Viewers appreciate his engaging style, noting that his earlier series, "The Inexplicable Universe," was well-received before being removed from Netflix. The new content available on YouTube continues to appeal to those with limited knowledge in the subject, providing an enjoyable learning experience. There is curiosity about how academics perceive his approach, but the overall sentiment remains favorable among general audiences.

Had not seen this before.
Yeah he is a bit of a showman but I have seen a lot worse.

Physics news on Phys.org
I've seen his first 'season' of the Inexplicable Universe and thought it was very good. It used to be on Netflix. They took it off not too long ago.

I actually started watching the new one on youtube last night. It's also good for people like me who don't know a lot about physics and the universe but find it very interesting and fun.

Not sure how the highly educated feel about him, but I thoroughly enjoy listening to him.
