why is it not possible to shield gravitational forces although we can shield electric forces?? is it so because gravitational field arises only due to the distortion of electrons of a body by a massive body? how this concept can help me to understand or resolve the problem? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeese help! i will be highly grateful...

The free falling lift is the gravitational equivalent of M. Faraday cage. This concept can help you to understand or resolve the problem of formulation general theory of gravitation forces. However, it is already done.
