If the NASA don't want to go, the hopes are still for ESA, that has presented the project Aurora

With this project, ESA wants to put astronauts in Mars by 2033. The question is, who will arrive first to Mars, americans or europeans?

just join up w/ the esa and do another joint effort...much cheaper to split the bill...who cares if we're there first or not
