Properties of some compounds

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the magnetic properties of specific materials, including Mumetals, Permalloy, Supermalloy, Permendur, Perminvar, and Sendust. The inquirer seeks detailed scientific data on their permeability, hysteresis, temperature dependence of magnetism, and thermal expansion coefficients. While some participants suggest Wikipedia as a starting point, the inquirer finds the information insufficient and primarily commercial. The request emphasizes the need for reliable and scientific references rather than general or commercial sources. The conversation highlights the challenge of finding comprehensive academic resources on these materials.

Dear All,
I am curious to know about some materials listed below-

Mumetals,
Permalloy,
Supermalloy,
Permendur,
Perminvar and
Sendust.

I am interested to study there magnetic properties like permeability, hysteresis, temp. dependence of magnetism etc, if possible coefficient of thermal expansion and low temperature properties etc.

I searched a lot on internet but won't found much info about same.

Please provide the sources (weblinks, books, papers etc). It will be great help...thanks in advance.

Regards
S.

Have you checked the references and external links sections at the bottom of the pages on of Wiki? They're a good start.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mu-metal
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permalloy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermalloy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sendust

Yes I have checked these links...wikipedia have little info about Mu-metals but not about rest, also I have checked references therein, but things are not so clear. Generally referances leads to commercial website which provide there own info.

I am looking for kind of scientific and reliable data...which I can use as a references.

If you know something more please let me know.
Thanks.
