Keanu Reeves Mourns 'Beloved' John Wick Costar Lance Reddick: 'Deeply Saddened and Heartbroken'

He's played some interesting and cool characters, and he was apparently a very nice guy. I've seen his acting mostly in the John Wick movies in the role of Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel's New York City.

He apparently died on 'natural causes' - at 60?! I take that to mean, there was no foul play, as one article mentioned. But 60?! Natural? That's too young! He leaves behind wife and three children.

He was brilliant in everything!

And they had John Wick 3 here on tv when the news arrived.

Can a terminal illness be called "natural causes"? Or perhaps "natural causes" is just a cardiac arrest in sleep? Anyways, terrible news to hear about a life ending at 60. Hollywood's average life expectancy is way over 80.

Wiki says "natural" and imdb says "undisclosed". I go with the latter, they are usually right.

Lance Reddick's New York Time's obit describes his professional music career, as pianist, composer and singer, that I did not know before this. Agree that his performances in "The Wire" transcend the medium of 'television series'.

We also lost his "Wire" costar Michael Kenneth Williams (Omar Little) from an apparent drug overdose. Life reflecting art. Williams began his entertainment career as a dancer IMS, appearing with Madonna in Vogue performances.

Reddick reprises his role as a firm but fair police commander in Amazon's "Bosch", based on several Michael Connelly novels, also starring Reddick's "Wire" costar Jamie Hector (Marlo Stanfield). PF linguists may be interested in Hector's natural sounding Haitian accent although Reddick upstages every actor by his sonorous exclamation of the single word "Bosch!".
