Your book title reminds me of the Carol Burnett comedy skit where she's dressed as Mother Nature, standing in the forest with her back to the audience, and a commentator drones, "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature".

Followed by the line "Mother Nature, have you ever been fooled?" and Carol turns a bit to show she's pregnant and says "Only once!"

That "not nice to fool mother nature" was from a margarine commercial, early 1970s.
 
Yes and Carol Burnett did a parody of it.
